A young university student goes off to study in Málaga and, like any 18-year-old fresh out of final exams, asks one question: How do I do this?
First he needed to find a flat, or a flatmate to look for one with; the other problems would come later.
To solve this, let’s go back a couple of years and tell you how Go Mate came about.
In his first three years at university he realises he’s had to survive in 4 different flats with 11 different flatmates. Turns out the vibe just wasn’t there.
Realising this wasn’t just his problem but that of many other students, he started building a tool so that you filter and find compatible flatmates yourself before moving in together.
That’s how Go Mate is born: a service to make finding a flat and flatmates in Spain stop being a headache.

At that point we realised that students don’t deserve to waste time with twenty Idealista tabs open in the browser, messaging ads that never reply and crossing their fingers about whichever flatmate they’ll get.
But then came Go Mate: a service to sort out the first thing about your Erasmus —the housing— with a person guiding you.
